Learn how to Crochet Lush Life Blanket using one of the most popular yarns today, Bernat Blanket Yarn.

Crochet Lush Life Thick Squishy Blanket Pattern
Crochet Lush Life Thick Squishy Blanket Pattern

This blanket plays with the concept of simply crocheting double crochets and front post trebles (fptr). The FPTR's are easy to manage and create the luscious textures and ultra-softness, in this already super plush yarn. It's like hugging a cloud.

Cuddle up on the couch or put on the chick flick and cry into a bowl of popcorn. This blanket is fabulous. The video tutorial below is available to show you the steps. It's really easy. I would even guess beginners could master this one.

    Hello Mikey,
I'm excited to finally be able to try the Lush Life Blanket. How many rows of each color was done before each color change?

Stand by. I will read the pattern. Seems this pattern catches people for wanting the row counts.

Hello. I’m a beginner. 8 rows for the same color. How many stitches horizontally for each color? Thank you. Will try my best to do this Afghan.

    Hi Mikey,
Thanks for this beautiful Afghan pattern. I have a question regarding the measurements. I want to make the original measurements which is 52 by 60 inches.
As the instruction says, we need to start with 67 chain. I assume this 67 chain will be the width which is 52 inches. right? But when I chain 67, it's not even close to 52 inches. It's about 34 inches. I'm using the same size yarn and needle as you recommend in the video. Can you please help me to get started this blanket. This will be a Christmas gift and I'm a beginner, I hope I can finish it by that time 🙂

    Thanks.
    Sara

Are you generally a tight crocheter? I am and usually have to go up a few hook sizes that recommended in a pattern. Another option is doing the initial chain in a larger hook size than using the required hook size. I'd suggest doing a swatch test from there you can figure out if you are going to need to go up a hook size or not.

When doing the single crochet for row 2, is he going under both loops or going in the back one? I can't tell from the video.

This blanket is just stripes across. I know the picture looks confusing that it's in blocks but it's just stripes.
